Friends of Brett Baumann are organizing this fundraiser on behalf of his wife and family.

Dear Family and Friends,

We are saddened to announce that our dear friend Brett Baumann age 65 from West Shokan, NY passed away unexpectedly on 7/29/25 from a heart attack while vacationing with his wife and family on a cruise to Mexico.

Brett was a loving husband and good friend. He was the kind of person who loved life and lived each moment to the fullest. Many of his friends know him as being an avid boater where he enjoyed many of his weekends boating with his wife Darlene along the Hudson River where he was a staple at Shady Harbor Marina in New Baltimore, NY. Brett was sometimes seen walking the docks, cooking under the tent, hanging by the pool with friends, sitting by the fire or just relaxing on the back of his boat with his wife listening to music while handing out small treats for all the marina dogs that pass by. He was a true genuine friend, and he will be missed dearly.

We are reaching out to ask family and friends to help us relieve some of this unforeseen astronomical financial burden charged by the cruise ship and Cozumel Hospital while he was in their care. We are grateful to all of you for any great or small donations and ask those who are unable to donate to please share this page with others.
