When they say it’s too good to be true, believe it. I’m a single working mother and I was scammed out of first month's rent and deposit plus application fees of a home I just knew would be the perfect home for me, my kids, and grandkids to get ourselves together and live in this place we call America, land of the free. Our rent was going up in our apartments, so we decided to move together and split everything four ways to save money and live life, just to find out it might happen, just not at this home we wanted.

I googled private owners looking to rent homes, and that’s when Opendoor popped up, and a house in the area I needed was available. I called the owner who I thought owned it, and we talked. I set up a tour on the Opendoor app and went and looked at the home. It fit me like a glove, so I thought. I was on the phone with the scammer, and I did the application over the phone. He approved me, and it went from there. Little did I know that was when the nightmare began. I’m usually great at using my intuition and asking the right questions. Not this time. In the course of four days, I was scammed out of my money saved up for a rainy day and my rent money for the apartment because I wanted a house to call home for me, my kids, and grandkids. Please be aware and use your discernment because Satan is out here to steal, kill, and destroy the righteous. Now I work, but I don’t make three times the rent, but with all of us, we do, and I have a car, so I’m grateful. I just need a place to stay and fast for me and my family. I know the Father gives his toughest battles to his warriors, and he doesn’t put more burdens on you than you can bear. I have never been a beggar, always provided for my family, but this is a situation I don’t know how to figure out except fasting and praying while the Holy Spirit guides me in the next direction, and that leads me to here, this GoFundMe account. If you have it to give, I will accept it with blessings sent back tenfold. If you don’t, then a prayer of guidance and heartfelt wishes would work as well. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone, but hey, we win some, and we lose some, but we live to see another day. May the Father be with you all, and again, listen to your spirit.
