We are coming together as a school community to support one of our families during an unimaginable time.
Their 4-year-old daughter recently contracted Flu A, and in a devastating turn of events, instead of her body fighting the virus, it attacked her brain. What began as the flu quickly became life-threatening. Her family spent nearly two weeks in the ICU and hospital, living day by day not knowing what the outcome would be for their child—and heartbreakingly, they spent Christmas by her side in the hospital rather than at home.
By grace and strength beyond words, she survived.
While she has made encouraging progress and is slowly beginning to talk and respond, the impact of this illness has been profound. She had to start over and is now working to regain all of her abilities through extensive inpatient therapy. She has a long road ahead and will continue to require ongoing therapies and rehabilitation.
This fundraiser is intended to help ease the financial burden on her family as they navigate:
-Ongoing medical bills
-Specialized therapies and rehabilitation services
-Time away from work to care for their daughter
-Unexpected expenses related to her recovery
No family should have to face something like this alone. Any donation, no matter the size, will help support this little girl and her family as they focus on healing and hope. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page is another meaningful way to help.
Thank you for your compassion, generosity, and for surrounding this family with love during such a difficult time.
