On Tuesday March 31st, my husband and father of 2, died of a sudden heart attack while at work. This is a devastating loss for our family as he was a healthy young man with no apparent heart problems, and no history of heart issues.

We are left on the wake of his unexpected death without any clear plan of how to move forward. Our friends and family have been incredibly supportive but we we’re all currently surviving paycheck to paycheck as it is. The loss of his half of income has our family in a financial crisis. I will be going through the steps to acquire financial assistance, but those applications take a long time to process. I will do everything I can for our kids, but in grief I can scarcely function beyond one day at a time. We are asking for help in this area, to cover the basics like rent and food until we can evaluate our position and get back on our feet.
