This morning my family experienced a heartbreaking tragedy. A house fire destroyed the home where my mom, my sister, and my sister’s five young children lived. In a matter of minutes, just about everything they owned was gone. Without going into detail, the losses will not be covered by insurance.

This should be a season filled with warmth, safety, and excitement—especially for five young kids looking forward to Christmas. Instead, they are facing the reality of having no home, no clothes, no toys, and none of the special items that made their house a place of comfort and memories.

My sister is doing everything she can to stay strong for her children while navigating the overwhelming task of starting over from nothing. My mom has also lost her home and belongings, and together they are trying to find stability during what should be a joyful time of year.

This fundraiser is to help cover immediate needs like clothing, shoes, coats, food, toiletries, temporary housing, and basic necessities, and to help restore a sense of normalcy for the kids during the holidays. Any donation—no matter the size—will help bring comfort, relief, and hope during this incredibly difficult time.
