Support for a broken leg

Hello all! On January 2nd I got a spiral fracture on my fibula, causing some pretty bad damage. I was told by the doctors that I need a plate and some screws put in the ankle so it heals right. Unfortunately, I don't have any insurance, and I've been unemployed for a while. The surgery to put the plate in is going to cost $6,309 and to take it out will be another $7,345. This is after the %89 discount they gave me. They are expecting the money for the surgery upfront on January 12th. After surgery, I won't be able to put any weight on my right foot for the next three months,  and I'll be stuck in bed for most of that time :( Anything at all would help me out so much.
