Support for a Brilliant Student's Survival

Friends and family, as you all know, I have been a high school educator for over 20 years and for the last 13 at Evanston Township High School. I am reaching out to all of you for help to support one of the most brilliant and beautiful students I have ever taught and mentored throughout my career. They were a student of mine for 4 years, yet I am keeping their name anonymous due to their request.

Because they were a victim of abuse, this student was emancipated at the age of 16 while in high school, and she has worked full-time ever since to support themselves. They don't have a very large village for support, and so I am doing everything I can to help them succeed because life has not dealt them the best hand.

This student lost their job during COVID, and subsequently was diagnosed with an autoimmune illness called Sarcoidosis caused by mold from their residence.

This student will be starting their new IT job on July 5th and will receive their first paycheck on July 19th. They are in need of money to survive until then. In addition to this job, they are a full-time finance student.

This young person needs funds to avoid eviction and the possibility of being homeless. They also need funds to pay their medical bills and basic needs of food and transportation.
