I’m a Minnesota mom who is fed up with ICE terrorizing families and causing chaos in our communities.

We live in a suburb with a large immigrant population, and my Latina friend in particular is really struggling. She is a mom with a son in elementary school who works two customer service jobs (very much in the public eye), and she’s scared to go to either because ICE is targeting anyone with Black or brown skin. Her partner hasn’t gone to work for the past week because he drives a lot and is at even higher risk than she is, so she’s had to pick up extra shifts at her second job, and she doesn’t feel supported/protected by management in either place.

I’d love to raise enough money that she can quit her second job and her family can still have a comfortable holiday and not have to worry about paying their bills. She is so sweet and such an important part of our community. She and her family do not deserve to live in fear.
