Support for a Brave Little Girl Battling Moyamoya Disease

Hello Everyone,

We are reaching out with a heartfelt plea for help. Autumn Ajcuc has been diagnosed with a rare and devastating condition called bilateral moyamoya disease. This diagnosis has turned her world upside down, and she and her family need your support more than ever.

Autumn's journey has been incredibly challenging. After her diagnosis, Autumn underwent surgery in the hope of preventing strokes and improving blood flow to her brain. Unfortunately, instead of recovery, this brave girl suffered several debilitating strokes during her post-operative period. These strokes have left her with significant challenges, and she now starts a long road to recovery. It is uncertain what life will look like for her. The strokes have affected her speech, mobility and emotion. A once vibrant, energetic, bright and courageous 7-year-old girl will need long term rehabilitation and constant care.

Autumn's mother Yesenia (Jessy) had to take a leave from her job to provide the full-time care Autumn needs, making her husband, Rogelio, the sole provider for the family. They are doing everything they can to give Autumn the best chance at recovery, but they need help providing the necessary care and accommodations. Autumn's parents are hopeful for the day Autumn can come home but managing the stairs of their rented apartment will be incredibly challenging. The family will need to move to a single-level home, drive a car that can transport Autumn and provide equipment to aid in her mobility and daily activities.

There is much uncertainty at this time, but one thing is for sure, Autumn needs our help, prayers, healing thoughts, and financial support. The amount of time and money that will be devoted to Autumn's care and treatment will be tremendous. Hopefully, we can come together to lessen the burden on the family. Please know that every donation, no matter the size, brings the family one step closer to providing Autumn with the care she needs and deserves. Your support will help them navigate this incredibly difficult journey and give Autumn a fighting chance at a brighter future.
