Support for Ursula

As many of you have heard, on February 9th our beautiful friend and fellow nurse, Ursula got the heartbreaking news that she has stage 3 breast cancer.  At 35 years old, she has learned that she has triple negative breast cancer- a rare, aggressive form of breast cancer.

If you know Ursula, you know she is that friend that is always there when you need anything. If you haven’t had the pleasure to meet her, just know you’d fall in love with her kind heart, bright smile and warm energy. The life of every party.

Ursula is an alum of Thayer Academy and Plymouth State University where she has dual Business and Nursing degrees.   

When Ursula isn’t working as an emergency room nurse at Beth Israel Hospital Milton or teaching clinical to new grad nurses, she volunteers in the medical tent at the Boston Marathon and at the Falmouth Road Race.  When she’s not fighting cancer she’s on the beach in Falmouth, at the Bruins game or skiing down the NE mountains.

Ursula is someone always giving back to the community and patients she serves, and now it’s our turn to help her. Ursula will endure extensive chemotherapy treatments, surgery, and radiation over the next year. She has an amazing support system to take care of her. But, during this time she may need to take a time off from work to focus on her health and recovery.  Please donate to help Ursula with the pressure of expenses related to this time- so that’s one less thing she has to consider.
