Dear Friends,
As many of you know, Sameer and Mayura have long been pillars of strength, kindness, and generosity in our Indian community. Sameer, one of the founding members of the West Berkshire Indian Society, dedicated himself tirelessly to uplifting the lives of Indians in Newbury.
Whether it was lending a helping hand, celebrating Ganpati and other festivals with devotion and joy, engaging with Thames Valley Police to protect ethnic minorities, or helping integrate the Indian diaspora with the local community—Sameer and Mayura have always stood by others, bringing smiles to faces young and old.
Sadly, Sameer, who had been bravely battling a health condition, passed away on the morning of 10th July. His passing leaves a deep void in our hearts, and an unimaginable loss for Mayura and their beloved daughter. Sameer was a man of dignity and high self-respect, and his sudden departure is truly heartbreaking.
As the family focuses on giving Sameer the farewell he so deserves, we have an opportunity to stand beside them, just as they have always stood with us. Your support, no matter how big or small, will make a meaningful difference.
Let’s come together as a community and give back to a family that has given us so much over the years.
With heartfelt gratitude, thank you all.
