My father is a true hero, having served as an NYPD officer and a Navy veteran. He was one of the first responders during both World Trade Center attacks, bravely putting his own health at risk to help others in need. Unfortunately, the aftermath of those days has followed him for years, and he now suffers from COPD as a result of breathing the air at Ground Zero. Recently, he caught pneumonia, which has made his condition even more challenging and has led to his need for hospice care.
Our family is doing everything we can to make sure he is comfortable and cared for, but the costs of 24-hour nurse support are overwhelming. The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward covering the expenses of his hospice care, ensuring he receives the support and dignity he deserves in his final days.
My father is an inspiring man who served his community in more ways than one. We are deeply grateful for any help and support during this difficult time. Your generosity will make a real difference for our family, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
