14 grandkids and the best husband of all time are what makes me the RICHEST BROKE WOMAN IN HISTORY. They are the reason I want to get around better. I'd also not mind a smidge of pain relief and maybe not becoming paralyed. But none of this matters to anyone but me and the husband and our lil football sized load of grandkids... Ya know my husband worked for 21st Century John Deere for over 10 years he ran up to 4 stores at once for this company as well but was never compensated the way he deservered yet at christmas time we'd attend the parties they threw only to listen to them BRAG on how many people tbey had helped out or donated too that were going through difficult times EXCEPT US. DAVE IS THE HARDEST WORKING MAN I KNOW YET THEY NEGLECTED US DUE TO I AM GOING TO ASSUME HIS SKIN COLOR.

Now I am reaching out in desperation, overwhelmed by pain and the urgent need for surgery. I don't know much about hosting a proper fundraiser, and though I've received a little help with creating a TikTok-style video, that's all I have so far. Asking for help has never been my style, but I am at a point where I have no other choice. Maybe one day, I'll figure out how to do this better.

## What Happened

My journey began with Dr. Watt, who over-operated on my L4-L5 area. He kept replacing broken titanium with larger pieces, but I continued to experience a painful popping noise in my spine. Despite my complaints, he didn't investigate further. I had already undergone cervical and lumbar fusions, which put severe pressure on my spine. If Dr. Watt had done his job properly, he would have discovered that the joints keeping my discs aligned had deteriorated. When one of my discs ruptured, it fell forward. I am only alive because a bone spur on my vertebrae prevented my spine from breaking in half.

## The Financial Strain

Our house payment is $2,205.00 a month. I have been trying to find employment for over two years without success. I receive no disability payments since March 2021 because Social Security mishandled my case. I have to reapply for benefits that I should have been receiving for over 17 years. They sent my paperwork to the wrong address, and trying to get the Greeley, Colorado SSA office to answer the phone is like trying to win the lottery.

## Impact on My Family

How would nine failed spine operations impact your family financially? Especially if you only had one income and no outside help? That's where we are now. Since 2017, I've needed three major spine operations but have had zero income outside of my husband's. He has given up 15 years of vacation for my medical operations, tests, and treatments. We never get to take a normal vacation because the doctor decided to re-operate in the wrong spot instead of ordering more tests to discover the real issue. I nearly broke in half.

## My Husband's Sacrifice

David, my husband, is the best husband and the hardest working man I know. He is too proud to ask for help, believing that it should already be offered. I can't break us financially again; I love him and my family too much. I took myself off 15 years of narcotics due to the damage they were causing to my body. I went through three years of withdrawal to survive these operations. Now, I've made it through the toughest part, and it's time to get some relief.

## The Urgency

Unless I can raise the money to cover our bills for 2-3 months, I would rather suffer in constant severe pain 24/7 than ruin us financially again. This all started when I was 30, and now I'm 49. I haven't stood up straight in over 20 years. I've had nine failed spine operations and currently have 14 levels of fractured titanium in my spine, neck, and lumbar. Since 2017, I've needed a major operation on my neck, which is fractured along with severe compression on my spinal canal in several spots. I experience frequent numbness and almost blackout with certain movements. My lumbar fusions need repair, and I have hardware protruding through my skin. I also need my thoracic fused as time has destroyed all my discs. Even a 1% improvement in pain would be better than my current state.

I lost my disability check during COVID-19, and it's been over three years since I've had any income of my own. For me to have any of these operations, we need income for 2-3 months as my husband will have to take unpaid leave to care for me. It's pathetic to have to do your own fundraiser, but I love myself and my family. Most of my "friends" and "family" don't seem to care. My husband has already given up 15 years of vacation time for my previous medical testing and operations. I would rather be in severe pain 24/7 than kill us financially. I never play the disability victim; I keep living the best life possible.
