Support Jacob Vaughan’s 2020 cycling season

I am a 20 year old cyclist from Surrey, looking to achieve my dream of making it to the highest level in cycling. I started riding at Herne Hill Velodrome and training in the Surrey Hills at the age of 14. I fell in love with the sport and raced both nationally and internationally throughout my youth and junior career, representing my country on multiple occasions. My best results include winning the National Junior Road Race Championships and UCI race Guido Reybrouck Classic, as well as many other big races both at home and in Belgium. I have also had success both domestically and abroad at U23/Senior level. For example, I won the classic British season opener Perfs Pedal last year and achieved top 10 results in pro kermesses against WorldTour level opposition.
As a first year U23 in 2018 I raced for Lotto Soudal U23 Development Team and lived in Belgium for the full season. Last year I made the decision to move back to the UK and race for UCI Continental team Canyon DHB. Whilst I had a great season with them, I realised my heart lies in Belgium and that is where I love to race.
I am therefore joining Belgian U23 team Indulek Doltcini Derito for the 2020 season where I will compete in a range of UCI races, pro kermesses, interclubs and kermesses. As well as this, I will race some high level UK races such as the National Championships.
The last 2 years have been a huge learning curve and predominantly involved me doing a team job during races. Next season however I am ready to take another big step up and be racing for the win myself. Whilst living in Belgium I will be completely self-funded as I will not be receiving any other financial support, your donations would go a long way in helping me to achieve my goals and allow me to spend the full season abroad.
