Callen Klingler fought valiantly against an extremely rare form of leukemia called Acute Undifferentiated Leukemia (AUL). This little Powerful Warrior battled through rounds of chemotherapy, radiation, two bone marrow transplants, infections, and at times pure exhaustion with the indomitable spirit his name suggests.
Though Callen lost his battle with AUL, the expense of the long fight remains. This fundraiser will help to defray the cost of the family's out-of-pocket expenses, experimental treatments that may not be covered by insurance, and any incidentals incurred.
During this heartbreaking time for the family, we hope to relieve some of the financial stress associated with Callen's months long treatment so they can focus the grieving and healing process.

PREVIOUSLY: My 15-month-old grandnephew Callen has just been diagnosed with leukemia. They are still trying to determine what type it is and what treatment plan to follow. We anticipate treatment may last for 30 months, but until it's determined what type of leukemia he has, we are only guessing. We are looking to cover out-of-pocket expenses and any incidentals necessary.
UPDATE: Callen has been diagnosed with Acute Undifferentiated Leukemia, a very rare form that occurs in children at the rate of only 0.1%. He has been admitted to the hospital for at least 6 months in order to put him in remission so a bone marrow transplant can be done.
