Greetings Everyone,

I have recently been accepted into the Black British Theatre Program at the British American Drama Academy. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to study the works of Black British playwrights and theatre artists in London. This niche discipline will be a rigorous 4 week intensive this June including lots of research and experiencing live theater performances in London. There will also be classes and workshops with Black British Theatre experts in the fields of playwriting, dramaturgy, movement, and applied theatre.

As as Black Theatre Artist and practitioner, this program will help expand my studies in theatre of the Diaspora which is my area of focus. The level of cultural specificity and study will invigorate my practice. In addition, this program will offer me new material to bring to my students as a Professor. My goal as an educator is to give my students a worldview of the field and this program would bring new, fresh, and culturally specific theatre to the classroom.

All that being said, I am in need of support to get to London this Summer. Your donation will assist me with housing, tuition for the program, and traveling expenses.
