We are looking to fundraise for someone who has reached out for help and support. Fokrul is a married man living in Bangladesh and has a duaghter. He is a painter and paints when and as he can for his living. He is a kind, genuine man who has always lived his life helping others. He has given his time, support, and care to those around him, never turning away when someone was in need. Now, for the first time, Fokrul finds himself in urgent need of help from his community and anyone who is willing to help and support.
He has been diagnosed with a serious heart condition that requires immediate surgery. Without this operation, his health and his future are at serious risk. Sadly, the cost of the treatment and recovery is beyond what he and his family can afford.
As Muslims, we know that charity (sadaqah) is not only a blessing for the one receiving but also for the one giving. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught us that:
“Whoever relieves a believer’s distress of the distressful aspects of this world, Allah will rescue him from a difficulty of the difficulties of the Hereafter.”
This is our chance to come together as an ummah, to help our brother Fokrul in his time of need. Every donation, no matter how small, will bring him closer to life-saving treatment, Insha’Allah. Your support will not only help him receive the surgery, but also give him the chance to recover and return to the life he loves – being there for his family and continuing his kindness to others.
