I have been friends with Floyd Dean Begley since we were kids. Recently, tragedy struck when June, Lisa, and Jadeana perished in a devastating house fire. Sicily, who is still a teenager, barely made it out alive. She is now left without her mother, her aunt, her grandmother, and the home she grew up in. Floyd has lost his mother and two sisters, women who loved him deeply and were the heart of their family. Along with another nephew, Steven, they are now the sole survivors of this tragedy. Sicily is well known and loved by our community, and her loss is felt by many.

The pain of losing loved ones is overwhelming, but on top of that, Floyd, Sicily, and Steven are now faced with the heavy burden of funeral expenses. They cannot begin to heal with this financial stress hanging over them. As a community, we have the power to wrap our arms around these precious children of God and help ease their burden.
