Support Floyd and Julie Hamblin to be together!
On December 15th 2019 our entire lives were forever changed! Our dad Floyd Hamblin was diagnosed with stage 4 Gliosarcoma a very rare brain cancer. He is a husband to our mother for 43 years, a father of 4 crazy kids, papaw to 9 grandchildren, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many! He is a hard worker and has been his entire life! He served in the Army. And up until December 15th he worked hard most of the time 6-7 days a week 10+ hours a day.
He has had surgery that remove the 40 % tumor, 6 weeks chemo and radiation. We had a set back because he got shingles on the entire left side of his head. The man is a fighter and stronger than anyone we know!
June 7th He went into the hospital and was having strokes and seizures. It’s come time to bring him home on hospice and my mom has to be beside him every second she possibly can.
My parents had an insurance policy that was in place. That insurance company has decided to deny the policy and ARE NOT paying their obligations to the policy! My mom works her butt off driving and delivering Medicine to patients! She isn’t able to spend this very important time with him because she has to work every extra moment she can get because he doesn’t receive any income anymore. The harsh reality that Bills need to be paid and life doesn’t stop is real and SUCKS!!!!
Many of our family and friends have asked how they can help. The decision was made to set this up so that her many family and friends could help out and donate what they could in lieu of flowers, cards, etc. This will assist in allowing her to take unpaid time off work so that she’s able to spend every second they have left with the love of her life since she was 14.
