On Tuesday, January 7, 2025, Flo and her family—her wife Anna, their 2-year-old daughter Rigby, and her parents—faced the unimaginable as the LA wildfires forced them to evacuate their home with no time to gather their belongings. They have since learned that their home, which they worked so hard to recently purchase, and all their personal possessions have been completely lost to the fires.

While we are incredibly grateful that Flo and her family are safe, they are now navigating the daunting task of rebuilding their lives from scratch. They are in urgent need of even the most basic necessities like clothing, socks, diapers, and more.

Flo is a beloved member of the UT Rugby community, having played as a lock and wing during the 2010-2012 seasons. Even after retiring her boots, she’s remained an active and cherished part of our community, attending weddings, reunions, and get-togethers.

We’re calling on the rugby community—and the wider queer community—to come together in support of Flo and her family during this turbulent time.
