Bessie Carmichael PK–8 Filipino Education Center
Annual Celebration of Flores de Mayo
Friday, May 22 2026
Bessie Carmichael School Filipino Education Center is proud to continue its cherished tradition of celebrating Flores de Mayo, a vibrant Filipino cultural festival filled with student performances, games, and delicious traditional food. We are honored to share this celebration with our students, families, and the greater community.
This year, we are reaching out to generous supporters like you to help us ensure that every student, faculty, and staff member across our PK–8 campuses can fully participate in the festivities—including enjoying a full lunch during the event.
While we are grateful for the contributions we've already received from several community organizations, we are still seeking additional support to cover the following:
• Meals for 600 students, 300 family members, and 136 school staff at both the Elementary and Middle School campuses
• Master artists to come and support WLES performances, consultancy to create background knowledge/slides to teach students about indigenous tribes and Filipino culture
Costumes/cultural attire, materials , instruments for our Filipino WLES (World Language in Elementary School) students performing in the cultural showcase--Visual and Performing Arts exhibition.
We invite your company to support our event by providing a monetary donation, goods, or services. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization (Tax ID: 943300090-01), all contributions made to Bessie Carmichael School are fully tax-deductible.
Your support not only helps fund this celebration but also uplifts cultural pride and strengthens our diverse school community. Thank you for considering a contribution to help us make this year’s Flores de Mayo celebration a joyful and memorable experience for all.
