Support Flor's Recovery from Third-degree Burns

Our querida Flor Crisostomo had a work-related accident when a significant amount of hot oil was spilled and she suffered extreme burns on her legs and lower torso. As many of you know, Flor is a beloved member of our Oakland/East Bay community and an accomplished chef specializing in traditional Oaxacan cuisine. She is an immigrant to the US and the mother of three amazing kids who reside in her home country of Mexico. 

To recover, Flor will have to spend a considerable amount of time in the hospital to closely monitor the sensitive nature of her burn wounds, which required skin grafts and other delicate surgeries. She is expected to miss at least two months of work. This page was created by a group of friends to help Flor cover rent, medical and living expenses during her extended recuperation.

Flor fiercely believes in the spirit of freedom and steps up to address the needs of people in our community. We see this page as an opportunity to open space and reciprocate the love that Flor has so often demonstrated to our broader community through her dedicated words and actions.
