I am Paarvanendu (Ammu), an elementary student from Edmonton. 

My heart goes to the kids like me in Kelowna, Abbotsford, Princeton, and Merritt who lost their books, backpacks, socks, mittens, and everything in the recent flood there. Other than school supplies, Kids over there also lost their clothes, mattress, blankets, and the list goes on, including their favourite toys.
 
I believe in the principle of 'Vasudhaiva Kudumbakam' - the whole world is one family. So it is our responsibility to support them.

I know that Uncle Charry, along with many other selfless volunteers from SEWA CANADA INTERNATIONAL AID INC is on the ground. With this fund, Sewa Canada will continue to distribute the basic things needed for our friends there, and even food for their puppies and kittens.

SEWA Canada is the leading humanitarian and development Charity for the last 22 years and has focused on selfless humanitarian efforts by providing service to all irrespective of race, nationality, religion, or gender. SEWA Canada volunteers on the ground in BC will make the necessities available to communities who need them the most, in Southern British Columbia. This includes non-perishable food items, medicines, new warm clothes/ blankets, water bottles, tents, electric heaters, other essential items as deemed necessary in the course of our work.

 

100% of your generous donations will be transferred to the work on the ground to help flood-affected people with essential items during the process of rehabilitation.

 

Sewa Canada International is releasing CAD$ 10,000, from its emergency funds immediately, as interim relief, to provide aid to the needy in disaster-hit areas of Southern British Columbia. However, more aid and help is needed urgently.
