My name is Kristal Long, and my partner and I are from Travis County, Texas. We’re survivors of the July 5 floods in Central Texas. My partner, Travis Traugott lost his beloved mother and two brothers. We lost our tent and all our belongings. We are grateful to be alive, but need help with a replacement tent or rv to safely lay our heads at night

These chairs were put in the exact place that we lost our loved ones. Everything gone in the July flood. And on top of that we have people calling us liars about even being here.. On July 4th early, we left to go visit my son. If we had not left, we would not be here today. God knows our hearts and sees through the games that others are playing.

Due to us not having proof of being at his mom's for 6 out of 12 months, and family lying and telling fema we weren't there, fema denied our application. So, we are only trying to get back our generator, A/c, and essentials like bedding, chairs, lights, cooking stove, etc, so we can survive in our tent until this property is sold and probate is over.

Travis is on SSI and cannot afford to move . He's had 2 heart attacks and a stroke, so this heat is not good for his health. to sum it up, he is dealing with so much and needs stability, maybe a boat, so if it rains we might survive the next flood.
