Fletcher is coaching USA Volleyball in Japan - let's help!

Fletcher's volleyball journey reads like a movie script – except this one's real, and we're rooting for the underdog who's now calling the plays.

As the new Middle Hitter coach of the USA Deaf Volleyball Team, Fletcher is deep in preparations for the November 2025 Deaflympics in Tokyo, where Team USA is gunning for its first-ever gold medal on the international stage.

Since 2019, Fletch has packed enough volleyball drama into six years to fill a highlights reel: rookie player to full scholarship at Queens University of Charlotte in under a year, earning a spot on the USA Deaf Volleyball Team, surviving four concussions (ouch), taking a medical retirement from playing the sport he loves, and now landing on his feet as the team's Middle Hitter Coach. His dedication through all the ups and downs shows the kind of work ethic that would make Rex proud (IYKYK).

Here's where it gets interesting – and a little expensive. While researching the team's Tokyo trip, I discovered that USA Deaf Volleyball coaches fund their own travel. Fletch has been hustling to raise money for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, so I created this GoFundMe to help cover his travel and living expenses in Japan.

Please join me in supporting Fletcher as he trades his jersey for a clipboard and helps bring home Team USA's first Deaflympics volleyball gold!
