Support Flavia Norheim in Her Time of Need

For decades, Flavia Norheim has been a devoted member of this church family. Her faith, generosity, and tireless service in multiple ministries have touched many lives across the years. At 84 years old, she continues to be a light in the lives of those around her—and now, she and her family need your help.

For the past several years, Flavia has lived in her daughter Laura’s home, surrounded by family including her granddaughter and two great-grandchildren. Laura has been her full-time caregiver, supporting her mother with daily tasks like dispensing medications, preparing meals, helping her shower, doing laundry, and much more—ensuring Flavia could remain safe, supported, and at home with loved ones.

On March 17th, tragedy struck. Laura suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and spent several days in the ICU. While we are deeply grateful that she survived and is now recovering at home, the healing journey ahead is long and demanding. Laura requires significant care herself and is unable to return to work for the foreseeable future. Despite over 20 years of service, her employer denied her FMLA request.

As a result, the family is facing serious financial hardship. Monthly expenses for the home, utilities, groceries, medical bills, and ongoing caregiving needs are piling up. The family is at risk of losing their home—and with it, Flavia would lose the care, stability, and love she receives every day from her daughter and family.

They have worked so hard to keep her at home, surrounded by the people who love her most. We’re reaching out now to the church community that Flavia has poured into for so many years, hoping her people will show up for her in this moment of deep need.
