Support Fiyera and Flipper's New Home

Update - July 9th, 2025

Hello everyone! We've now been with Tzipper (aka Flipper!) and Fiyera for about 6 months now, and they have quickly have become such cherished members of our home. We are really grateful to have welcomed such fun and lovely cats into our lives.

It'll probably come as no surprise, but elderly cats are quite expensive. The vet recommended wet food, supplements, and new pills the cats were prescribed recently have all really added up, as well as some expensive vet visits. The good news is the cats are currently healthy and happy, and so all those expenses are well worth it, but they have added up faster than either of us anticipated.

The original round of fundraising was so helpful to us in being able to provide what Tzipper and Fiyera need, without having to worry about making any tough choices. With Aldebran's encouragement, we are reaching out to ask if you might consider offering us another round of support. We will do our best to give the best to the cats no matter what, and at the same time, some additional fundraising would truly mean a lot.

Thanks for all your support. The love this community has for Janet's cat is really special, and a testament to a loving friendship community.

Hi all, This is Nechama here, from Nina + Nechama, the new caretakers of Flipper and Fiyera. We were told there is a community who is available to help us pay for expenses for these two sweet kitties as we take them into our new home. These are some words from Janet's lifelong friend Aldebran ~

"A bunch of us who are devastated by Janet's untimely death are coming together to support her two furbabies, Fiyera and Flipper.

Anyone who knew Janet knew that she ADORED animals and she was so so good with them. She worked for many years as a vet tech and more recently she created her own pet care business. She loved all her clients. As soon as she was able to be a pet mom she always had cats. For many years she usually had at least 6. Only two are left and they must really miss her.

We've found a wonderful home for Fiyera and Flipper where they'll be loved and cared for together. Fiyera is 22 and Flipper is 15. Both are special needs kitties who require daily meds, with Fiyera also needing an IV every few days. All of these expenses add up quickly and we'd like to be sure they always have what they need to stay healthy and comfortable. If you're able to donate in Janet's memory we'll be so grateful.
