Support Fix a Friend Clinic After Flood Disaster

Hello. Please help us rebuild our non-profit Spay and Neuter Clinic after a tragic flood. I am the veterinarian at Fix a Friend Spay Neuter Clinic in Winnabow, NC. We have been open for 11 years and offer low cost spay, neuter, and other veterinary care to our surrounding communities. We service 3 county shelters and numerous rescue groups (at least 20) as well as our local community pet owners. We do, on average 90-100 surgeries each day. We have 2 doctors and 9 employees. We had an unexpected and rapid flash flood on Monday, 9/16/24. We went from some flooding in the parking lot to water rushing in the building within 30 minutes. My staff did an amazing job of evacuating 20 different gs and 80 cats with the help of our local Sheriff Department, their army truck and an airboat. It was terrifying and overwhelming but these amazing people pulled it off. 5 of my employees lost their cars due to the flooding because they were more concerned about helping the animals stay safe than taking the time to move their vehicles. They are all incredibly hard workers and loyal employees. We will be closed until clean up and rebuilding can happen. We have to replace walls, electrical outlets, cabinets, surgical equipment, and appliances. We lost all of our medical inventory. We are trying to rent a mobile surgical unit so we can continue to at least provide services for our shelters and rescues. Any financial assistance would be appreciated to help my staff, assist in expenses, and support our rebuilding process. Thank you all for reading. Please share our story if you can!
