Fish Mongers has been a treasured part of the Hammond community for 10 years - serving up legendary fish and chips that have become a must-try for visitors traveling up and down the Oregon Coast. Whether you are a local or someone who commutes hours—or even flies in—just to get a taste, you know how special this place is!

Like many small businesses, Fish Mongers took a financial hit during the Covid-19 pandemic and never fully recovered. Now the building we’ve called home is being sold, and unfortunately relocating is an expensive process that is requiring us to seek assistance regarding our funds.

We’re turning to the community—the people that have supported us, shared their stories with us, and come back time and time again to say “thank you” for a good meal and welcoming space. Fish Mongers even earned recognition on Trip Advisor as a spot to visit when traveling the Oregon Coast. Your kind words and loyalty have kept us going this long, and now we’re asking for your help to keep Fish Mongers alive!

This business has always been about more than food. Every Christmas, we donate to local elderly residents—funded entirely out of our own pockets—because we believe in giving back. Now we’re hoping for a little help in return!

This GoFundMe is created on behalf of my grandpa the proud owner of Fish Mongers alongside my uncle. My grandpa is far too humble and kind to ask for himself. It isn’t just a business to my grandpa—it’s his passion, life’s work, and an extension of his generous spirit. What most people don’t know about my grandpa is just how much he gives to others, making sure everybody eats no matter the circumstance, often without anyone knowing. No matter the struggle, my grandpa always puts others first, asking for nothing in return. But now, after all his years of giving, he’s the one who needs help. That is why I’m here doing what I can in honor of my grandpas years of hard work and dedication.
