Help Buy Firewood For Elderly of Appalachia...

Hi, I’m Chris, and I’m a retired Fire Rescue Chief from Florida in North Carolina for hurricane recovery . My friend Special Operator “Q” and I are raising money for seasoned firewood to be purchased and delivered in Northwestern North Carolina/Appalachia, where they need it for elderly persons trying to heat their homes this winter.

I am matching the amount donated up to $500. We’ve selected local vendors to help support the local economy, which is severely depressed by the hurricane. The goal is to raise $2k plusto buy and deliver as much wood as possible for the elderly and young families in Ashe County, NC. Recipients are local churches and volunteer fire departments (who between them know everyone in Appalachia!)

Your donation will SPECIFICALLY be used to fund buying and delivering seasoned firewood to the organizations supporting the elderly and young families devastated by the hurricane. By donating, you are literally helping to heat their homes, with a cold winter predicted.
