On Tuesday April 21st, our community was shaken when Kern County Firefighter/Paramedic James Mascola was involved in a devastating vehicle accident. As a result of the collision, he sustained multiple serious injuries and now faces a long, difficult road to recovery.
As a Firefighter/ Paramedic with the Kern County Fire Department, James has dedicated himself to serving others before himself. His drive, compassion, and courage have inspired everyone who’s had the privilege to know him. While serving the community as a seasoned paramedic he demonstrated compassion and a strong reverence for life. He is known for multiple life-saving incidents, where he would not give up, reviving patients and restoring lives. His expertise and dedication to serving others has provided many a second chance at living and their families hope for the future. His dream was to expand his ability to serve others as a Kern County Firefighter.
It was this same expert care and compassion, provided by James’ fellow first responders, that gave him a second chance and hope for the future. Now, it’s our opportunity to help him recover and continue with his dream.
The injuries from the crash will most likely require multiple surgeries and extensive rehabilitation. While he continues to fight with incredible strength and determination, the financial burden is overwhelming.
We’re asking friends, family, fellow firefighters, and anyone moved by his story for your prayers and to help in any way you can. Every dollar makes a difference—whether it helps cover hospital costs, specialized physical therapy, travel for appointments, or simply eases the strain of what will be a long recovery.
Please share this page and keep James in your thoughts and prayers. Your support means the world to him and his loved ones as he works to heal and get back to doing what he loves—serving the residents of Kern County.
