Support Firefighter Jason DeSoto and His Family
Jason DeSoto has spent years serving others as a firefighter, showing up for his community during emergencies, storms, and some of life’s hardest moments. He is also a devoted father of three children, ages 7, 6, and 4 months, and a loving partner who cares deeply for his family.
After recently taking time off following the birth of his youngest child, Jason began experiencing ongoing abdominal pain. What followed were months of testing, appointments, and uncertainty. After multiple scans, lab work, and further evaluation, doctors discovered a tumor on his pancreas. A biopsy confirmed it to be a pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor.
Jason is now facing major surgery, which is expected to include removal of part of his pancreas, as well as his spleen and gallbladder, in hopes of removing all cancerous areas and preventing the need for further treatment. While he focuses on surgery and recovery, he and his family are also facing the stress and uncertainty that come with serious medical issues and time away from work.
Anyone who knows Jason knows he is someone who has always shown up for others. Now, during one of the hardest times in his life, we are asking others to show up for him.
Your support will help ease the burden on Jason and his family as they navigate surgery, recovery, and the difficult weeks ahead. Every donation, prayer, and share is deeply appreciated.
