What was meant to be a relaxing vacation in Maui with his wife, Taylor, turned into a heartbreaking and life-changing emergency for Trevor, a 29-year-old firefighter from Surrey, BC.
On November 15th, 2025, Trevor had a medical emergency in the water. In that split second, everything changed. His brother acted with incredible courage, pulling him to shore, where emergency responders rushed him to Maui General Hospital.
In the ICU, doctors discovered that Trevor had sustained a significant spinal cord injury and a fracture at his C5 vertebra. After receiving urgent care in Maui, Trevor was transported home to BC on November 24th, where he remains in the ICU. At this time, there are still many unknowns as he faces the possibility of life-altering injuries.
Trevor has dedicated his life to serving and protecting others as a firefighter. Now, he is the one who needs support from his community, his friends, and anyone moved by his story.
