Dear friends, and surf community,

On the 10th of April, in the evening, we had a fire at our surfboard ding repair and workplace "Olman Surfboard Hospital". The family runs it. Everth (brother-in-law) and Olman’s Sister Maria are currently in charge. We are located behind the Gato Rojas Hotel in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, in the back, and for unknown reasons, our repair shed and storage took fire at 7.30 pm. Luckily no one got harmed, and thanks to the firefighters, the fire couldn’t spread to the homes and hotels around. But the destruction is devastating, and the fire destroyed all tools, materials, and surfboards in repair.

To cover the cost of cleaning, restarting, and finding solutions with the board owners, we greatly appreciate all donations to recover from this terrible incident. If you like what we do and want to get a board fixed by us, we hope to count on your support to rebuild as fast as possible.

Queridos amigos y comunidad de surf,

El 10 de abril, por la noche, tuvimos un incendio en nuestro lugar de trabajo de reparación de tablas del Hospital de Tablas de Surf Olman. La familia lo administra y, actualmente, Everth (cuñado) y la hermana María de Olman están a cargo. Estamos ubicados en la propiedad Gato Rojas en Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, en la parte de atrás, y por razones desconocidas, nuestro cobertizo de reparación y almacenamiento se incendió a las 7:30 pm. Afortunadamente, nadie resultó herido y, gracias a los bomberos, el fuego no pudo extenderse a las casas y hoteles de los alrededores. Pero la destrucción es devastadora y el fuego destruyó todas las herramientas, materiales y tablas de surf en reparación.

Para cubrir el costo de la limpieza, el reinicio y la búsqueda de soluciones con los propietarios de las tablas de surf, agradecemos enormemente todas las donaciones para recuperarse rápidamente de este terrible incidente. Si te gusta lo que hacemos y quieres que arreglemos una tabla de surf, esperamos contar con tu apoyo para reconstruir lo más rápido posible.
