Hi, if you don't already know, my name is Kim, and the most precious thing in the world to me is my first dog, Fiona. She's a 10-year-old American Pitbull Terrier. Pitbulls are often misunderstood, and Fiona is no different. She's super sweet and playful, despite her age. She loves to wake us up in the middle of the night so we can lift the blanket and she can squeeze in to be the little spoon; she's the boss. She has a huge personality and makes sure everyone knows she is the Queen Bee. She's silly and serious all at once. She has stolen the hearts of many friends and family in our lives, and I hope she steals a bit of yours.
Fiona has had to undergo two surgeries within this past year. The first one was last Memorial Day when she had a 2x2" piece of corn cob stuck in her tummy; lord only knows where she found that! And again just recently, on February 6th, she needed to go in for an infected tooth, which swelled up her face and needed to be extracted. She also had a cancerous mass cell tumor removed before it grew to other organs.
She is so resilient and recovering great!
I didn't ask for help last year because I thought that I should be able to handle the financial burden on my own. However, I have been struggling to pay off the $6,500 bill, and then the recent surgery added to that total.
It is very unlike me to do anything like this, but I will truly do anything for Fiona. So I'm swallowing my pride and asking for help. I know times are hard for everyone, but if anyone has some spare money they can donate, even a few dollars is helpful, and we would be so appreciative.
Thank you for just taking the time to read this, and we love you all!
