Support Fiona's Battle Against FIP

My name is Ashley, and I’m fundraising to help pay for medical treatments for Fiona, our 2.5yr old Siamese rescue who was just diagnosed with FIP.

Fiona has had an incredibly hard life in her short time on this earth. She was thrown from a moving vehicle and left to die in a field at around 8 weeks of age. When I rescued her, she was in very rough shape. This poor thing deserved so much more from the humans in her life.

Fiona is the sweetest girl. She would give anything to snuggle up to you and she LOVES belly rubs. She also love love loves her siblings and the family dog.

Around a month ago, Fiona had become increasingly sick. She lost weight; dropping from 7lbs to around 4lbs. She had an appetite but was unable to eat and became incredibly dehydrated and jaundiced. After bringing her to the vet and running full diagnostics, we had a confirmed diagnosis of FIP, or Feline Infectious Peritonitis with the presence of a massive pyogranuloma in her stomach.

I started treatment immediately with supplies I had on hand. Unfortunately, the treatment for FIP is extremely costly. Fiona has been undergoing injections for the last month. She will have to undergo injections for 84 days at rough prices of around $64 per 3 days of treatment. This doesn’t include the supplemental care she will need to help keep her strong enough to fight or the bloodwork she needs every 4 weeks. She’s already fought so hard to be here on this Earth, and she deserves a chance to fight this too.

Having just undergone a full course of treatment for FIP with one of my other kitties, Haddie, I have completely tapped myself out financially. FIP is not contagious, so the chances of two of my three cats being diagnosed with it seems like a cruel joke. I poured everything I had into Haddie's treatment. It breaks my heart to know I financially cannot do the same for Fiona who deserves to live just as much as Haddie did. It should never have come to choosing between my rent and giving one of my babies a chance at life, but unfortunately it has gotten to that point.

All funds raised will go directly towards the cost of her injections. We can’t do this without you, and we’d appreciate any help at all no matter the amount. Help give Fiona the chance to live the beautiful life she deserves with my family that loves her.
