Hi, our names are Fiona Lefkowitz and Kate Qureshi, and we are film students at Syracuse University seeking help with funding the location rental for our sophomore film, “An Unfortunate Twist.”

Our film is a dark comedy that explores selfishness and misplaced priorities. The story follows a tense dinner between a married couple and their new neighbor that quickly spirals into chaos when the neighbor suffers a severe allergic reaction to the restaurant’s signature drink. As the situation escalates, the couple continues to argue and deflect blame, largely ignoring the emergency unfolding in front of them.

The funds that we raise would be covering the cost of renting out the restaurant that our film is set in for 3 days.

As aspiring filmmakers, it is important to Kate and I that we put ourselves outside our comfort zone. Using a restaurant is by far one of the most professional steps we are taking, and by funding this, you would be helping us to have an experience that pushes us further as storytellers and helps us grow our skillset.
