Support Finley's Fight for Recovery

I have a friend that has been dear to me since I was 13 years old. This woman has been through hell and back and has a 2 year old and just had an additional beautiful baby boy that was born on May 11, 2025 named Finley. Unfortunately, Finley was born four weeks early and experienced a difficult delivery. He was stuck in the birth canal for approximately 45 minutes before finally being delivered. At birth, he wasn’t breathing, and the medical team had to work on him for a significant amount of time before he took his first breath. During this time, he suffered a dislocated shoulder and had multiple seizures due to a lack of oxygen.

Because of the severity of his condition, Finley was immediately airlifted to Comer Children’s Hospital in Chicago, IL. He was covered in bruises and showed signs of trauma throughout his body. An MRI revealed spots on both the right and left sides of his brain, as well as bleeding at the back of the brain.

It’s going to be a long road to recovery for Finley, and it will likely be quite some time before he’s able to come home.

The biggest struggle for mom is getting back and forth to the hospital to be with her son while taking care of her toddler, as she lives about an hour south of Chicago. If you could please help with gas money, money for food, money for a babysitter, etc….that would be such a blessing for this family. Anything helps! Please pray for my friend and her child!
