We are asking for support and donations for Filomena Coxford. Filomena was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer on April 21st, 2025. When she was diagnosed, they also found a tumor in her brain, which they operated on and removed successfully. Through the course of the last 4 months, Filomena has undergone chemo and radiation and has had multiple hospital stays. Unfortunately, in her most recent hospital stay, it was learned that despite her chemo and radiation, her tumors continued to grow and spread. In addition to the tumors that were originally found in her lungs/lymph nodes, they are now in her bones and her liver. We (Filomena, Maria, and Michael) decided that it would be best for our mom to discontinue her chemo as it was only making her worse physically, as well as mentally, rather than making her better and helping her. At this time, Filomena is currently in hospice care at Bampa’s house in Corning. We have been advised that our mom only has about a few weeks left with us. At this time, Michael and I are spending as much time with our mom as we can. However, in preparing for her arrangements, we do seek additional support that anyone may be willing to give.

Filomena is a mother, a daughter, a sister, and a friend. You may know her as any of those, or you may just know her as a person. She has always been one to help others in times that they need and was employed by Able2 for almost 15 years. She did retire as of January 2025, however, was not able to enjoy her retirement much at all due to her diagnosis.
