My sister Andrea is a loving wife and mother of two young girls that lives in Costa Rica. In 2021, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor (Skull Base Meningioma). Because the tumor’s removal is so complex, she underwent surgery in the United States and most of the tumor was removed. However, the tumor surrounds critical arteries and it could not be completely resected.

When she was first diagnosed, friends and family came together through GoFundMe and generously helped support her initial surgery and care. Unfortunately the tumor is growing again and a more complex surgery abroad is needed. There are significant dangers with this procedure, including the possibility of neurological damage or worse. Despite the risks, this surgery is her best hope to continue living and to be there for her daughters and her husband.

The funds raised will go directly toward the cost of the surgery, treatment during recovery, and travel. We need your help to make this possible so she can continue to live and be the wonderful mother and wife we love so much. Your support will mean the world to us, and will bring hope to our family during this difficult time.

Mi hermana Andrea es una esposa amorosa y madre de dos niñas pequeñas que vive en Costa Rica. En 2021 fue diagnosticada con un tumor cerebral (meningioma de base de cráneo). Debido a la complejidad del tumor, fue operada en Estados Unidos y lograron remover gran parte, pero no completamente porque rodea arterias vitales. Lamentablemente el tumor está creciendo nuevamente y ahora necesita una cirugía aún más compleja en el extranjero. Este procedimiento tiene riesgos importantes, pero es su mejor esperanza para poder seguir viviendo y estar presente para sus hijas y su esposo. Los fondos recaudados se destinarán a cubrir los costos de la cirugía, el tratamiento durante la recuperación y los gastos de viaje. Cualquier apoyo significa muchísimo para nuestra familia y nos dará esperanza en este momento tan difícil.
