Hey all, I’m Fern. I’m an artist and a writer, I’m disabled, and I’m trans-masculine. He/they are my pronouns.

For years I’ve been trying to get the process going for top surgery, and there’s been a lot of setbacks. Wether it was insurance with crazy high deductibles, insurance denials, or layoff from a job, every time I’ve tried to move forward with getting top surgery there’s been something big standing in the way of affording it. Being disabled with an autoimmune disease just adds to medical cost obstacles I’ve dealt with. But top surgery is life saving gender-affirming care, and I really need it.

I’m here hopefully asking the community for help so I can move forward with scheduling it soon. These funds would help cover what I need to pay up to the deductible and then percentage after on new insurance I’ll have soon, and cover some things while in recovery.
