My brother, Fernando Cordovez Crespo, needs a critical spine surgery and time is sensitive and delays could exacerbate his condition. In 2003, he was shot in his spine, which led to partial immobility of his right leg. In 2023, he had a surgery to make his spine more secure and straight. Last week, he fell and fractured L1 and L3, causing displacement of some screws that are holding two plates on his spine.

Fernando has been a life-loving person and has handled his disability with unbelievable courage. His pain at this moment is excruciating; any help will be appreciated.

His surgery will be in Quito, Ecuador, with a very well-known doctor, Laura Bottani, who is the Head of the Neurosurgery Department at Hospital de Especialidades Eugenio Espejo.
