Support Fernando Jr's Fight Against Leukemia

Hi My name is Lori, I am Fernando Ortega Jr's Grandma. He is also know to me as Baby Nando. My first born grandson.

Our sweet young man is facing one of the most challenging uncertainties of his and his families lives. His kind caring and thoughtful nature have been stifled by this devastating illness. Together we can help get the care he needs.

One day he was a thriving 21 year old whose laughter filled the home of him, and 5 siblings. His Mom and Dad many times noting his humble nature, and willingness to always do the right thing. He just graduated High School 3 years ago with Straight A's and Honors.

He was enjoying this Summer with family and friends when he was struck with severe pain in his abdomen. The first Doctor first hospital sent him home with ill advice. The second trip to a different hospital for him and the most recent just about 2 and 1/2 weeks ago is providing blood transfusions. Doctor has now diagnosed him with Leukemia. He has started his chemotherapy just last week.

While his Mom and Dad struggle to remain strong for the family, there are taking this with deep sorrow. While thoughts of why and how continue to beat in their hearts, their prayers and hope is for him to recover.

Strong in their faith yet faced with many challenges, both emotional and financial, any amount could help with the impact of missed work and the growing hospital bills. Even the smallest act of giving has the potential to changes lives.
