I, Fernanda, have always been a warrior woman, with a generous smile and a dedicated heart. For years, I worked as a caregiver for the elderly, offering attention and care to so many people during difficult times in their lives.

But now I'm the one who needs care. In 2023, I faced breast cancer. I underwent surgery to remove nodules and radiation therapy, maintaining hope and strength to move forward. Unfortunately, in May 2025, new and devastating news arrived: stage 4 ovarian cancer, metastatic and incurable. I needed to undergo a major hysterectomy, removing my uterus, ovaries, and even my appendix, with infiltration that had spread to my liver. Due to the complexity of the procedure, I was only able to start chemotherapy weeks later. Since then, my daily struggle has been marked by intense pain, side effects, and extreme fragility.

In addition to cancer, I have degenerative discs in my lumbar spine (L4/L5/S1) that limit my movement and impair my mobility. All of this prevents me from returning to the work I loved, caring for the elderly. Without income for over six months, my financial reserves have been depleted, and I now depend on help to meet my basic needs.

I have been feeling very emotionally fragile, experiencing the insecurity of not knowing how I will cope with life and the costs of treatment. I need support to recover not only my body, but also hope and peace of mind to face this battle.

✨ That's why I'm creating this fundraising campaign with an initial goal of $22,800 (6 months of support), to cover housing, food, bills, medications, medical expenses, and a small emergency fund. If we reach our goal of doubling this amount (one year of support), I will have the security of continuing my treatment with dignity and without the burden of financial worries.
