Our baby fat boy Fenrir is in the emergency vet. He had a life threatening urinary blockage and needed emergency treatment. He is stable and will be able to come back home after he gets a long weekend of medical attention, but this has left us financially drained and has the potential to happen again. We love our boy-he is the sweetest, most loveable fluffy idiot, one of those rare special cats whose belly is not a trap, and who purrs even if you're yelling at him. We are doing everything possible, and we will make sure Fenrir is alright no matter what. But this leaves us in some debt, and if he turns around and needs to come back again next week we won't have it. We will take care of him regardless, he's my baby and there is no other option but to figure it out. But this isn't easy to accomplish, and we know we are surrounded by many people who love us and him. I'm looking for support from those who are able from my amazing community because we could really use some help in this. It would be hard to figure out alone.
