My name is Rosilenis Mateo R., and I am organizing this fundraiser for my daughter, Fendi. She is a beautiful, loving young woman who means everything to our family and to everyone who knows her. Watching her go through this has been one of the most painful experiences of our lives. Fendi urgently needs both a heart transplant and a liver transplant, and as her mother, there are no words for the heartbreak of seeing your daughter fight such a serious and life-threatening medical battle. All I want is to give her the chance to live, heal, and have the future she deserves.

Because this is such a complex and delicate medical journey, we have been advised to take Fendi to Stanford Health in California so she can receive the specialized care she urgently needs for her heart transplant and liver transplant. This is the purpose of this fundraiser. We are raising money to help get her to Stanford Health and to support the overwhelming expenses that come with this life-saving transplant journey, including emergency travel, transportation, lodging, hospital visits, medications, medical-related costs, and the many unexpected needs that come with care of this magnitude. We need to get her there as soon as possible, because her health is deteriorating and every moment matters in getting her the life-saving care she needs.

This journey has been devastating not only emotionally, but financially as well. Fendi needs constant care, and because of that, I have not been able to work. My time, energy, and heart are fully devoted to caring for her and doing everything I can to help her through this. Between the hospital stays, specialized treatment, travel, daily living expenses, and loss of income, the burden has become more than we can carry on our own.
