Hi all. Felix Guzman here, poet, community organizer, and advocate. I’m excited to share some wonderful news: after a very tough few years, I have accepted a full-time position as a MAT Peer Specialist, supporting people who are using or may benefit from medication-assisted treatment around opioid use.

This is more than a new job for me. It is a meaningful restart, a return to work I care deeply about, and a chance to use my lived experience, compassion, and professional skills to support others in their own healing and recovery. I feel ready, grounded, and grateful for this next chapter.

As I make this transition, I’m asking for a little support to help bridge the gap until my first paycheck, which is expected in mid-July. Contributions will help me cover basic needs and make this move from uncertainty into stability as smooth as possible.

Many of you also know me as a poet. I often say, “Poetry saved my life,” and I mean that with my whole heart. As I step into this new role, I’m also looking forward to returning more fully to my writing and sharing poetry that helps others feel seen, encouraged, and reminded that healing is possible.
