Support Felix's Fight Against Cancer

Donation protected
Hello friends and family of Felix. As a community, we are reaching out for your generosity for Felix who is enduring a very long, painful and challenging cancer journey.

Felix was diagnosed with prostate cancer in December 2020. Over the last four years, he has been undergoing multiple treatment modalities including surgeries, chemotherapy, oral medications, and holistic therapies.

Over the last few months, Felix has been experiencing intense pain in his hip which has been impacting his mobility and quality of life. He underwent multiple screenings in recent weeks in the hopes to receive a total hip replacement by a surgeon in the Bay Area. During the prep for this surgery and screening, it was found that this cancer has spread to the colorectal area and they found a large mass in Felix’s pelvic bone. This was attributing to the unbearable pain he has been experiencing.

Felix was urgently transferred to Stanford Medical Center last week where they performed a 3-hour surgery--they removed the bone area in his pelvis affected by cancer which was then reinforced. They hope that this will remove 75% of his pain. He may be going to a rehabilitation facility before heading home to regain strength and mobility. Those are the next steps Kelly, Felix, and medical staff will be figuring out.

He and his family have a long road ahead. Felix will rehabilitate from his surgery and then promptly begin chemotherapy, radiation, another surgery to remove the colorectal tumor and possibly hip surgery if the pelvis operation does not rid him of most of the pain in that area.

He has shown bravery, strength, and resilience. There have been many highs and lows during this time for Felix and his family.

Any contributions can ease the burden of past, present, and future medical bills. They met their max of over $8000 the last 3 years and will do the same for years to come. Also, hotel stays for Kelly and family while Felix is hospitalized and at a rehab center, additional payroll expenses due to not being able to work at their beautiful store, Gaialicious, in South Lake Tahoe and all of the other expenses that add up. They also still have one daughter, Zoe, in college.

Heartfelt messages also provide a valuable spark during this incredibly challenging time.

Thank you so much for your support, love and generosity!
