My name is Felipe Rios, and I am a 42-year-old living in Franklin Square, NY. Last Friday, January 23rd, my life changed dramatically when I experienced the first signs of a heart attack early in the morning. I was rushed to the ER at LI Jewish in Valley Stream, NY, where I suffered a second heart attack just an hour later. The medical team worked quickly to stabilize me, but by 11:30 am, it became clear that I needed specialized care. I was transferred to Northshore Cardiology Center, and on the way, I experienced my third heart attack. Thankfully, the doctors acted swiftly and were able to treat me in time. They discovered that my main artery was 99% blocked and placed a stent to restore blood flow. Two other arteries were also partially blocked. The experience was terrifying, but I am grateful to be here today thanks to the incredible care I received.
However, the road to recovery is long. I am currently out of work, and the medical bills are overwhelming. With everyday expenses piling up, it’s been difficult to see a way forward. I am doing my best to focus on healing, but the financial stress is a heavy burden. I am reaching out to my community for help during this challenging time. Any donation, no matter the size, will make a difference and help me cover my medical bills and living expenses while I recover. Your support means the world to me, and I am deeply grateful for any help you can provide. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering a donation to support my recovery.
