Support Felipe Cordova's Critical Medical Care in Ecuador

Hello, my name is Ariana Pazmino, and I am the granddaughter of Felipe Cordova, a proud American who has been visiting his birth country of Ecuador every year. Unfortunately, during his most recent trip, he suffered several heart attacks on Monday, February 17th. He was rushed to the nearest hospital, where he went into cardiac arrest. After 15 minutes of CPR, he was revived and has since been in the ICU on a ventilator.

He underwent a cardiac catheterization to unblock an artery that caused the heart attacks. While he typically receives all of his medical care in the United States, he is currently receiving treatment in Ecuador. My family and I have been trying to manage the mounting medical expenses, but the costs continue to pile up as he remains in critical care.

This unexpected emergency has been overwhelming, and we are doing everything we can to ensure my grandfather receives the care he needs in Ecuador so he can recover and return home to the U.S. We’re reaching out for support, as we didn’t anticipate these expenses, and any contribution—no matter how small—would be greatly appreciated. Hola, mi nombre es Ariana Pazmino y soy nieta de Felipe Córdova, un orgulloso estadounidense que ha estado visitando su país natal, Ecuador, todos los años. Lamentablemente, durante su más reciente viaje sufrió varios infartos el lunes 17 de febrero. Lo llevaron de urgencia al hospital más cercano, donde sufrió un paro cardíaco. Después de 15 minutos de RCP, fue reanimado y desde entonces ha estado en la UCI conectado a un ventilador.

Se sometió a un cateterismo cardíaco para desbloquear una arteria que provocó los infartos. Si bien normalmente recibe toda su atención médica en los Estados Unidos, actualmente recibe tratamiento en Ecuador. Mi familia y yo hemos estado tratando de manejar los crecientes gastos médicos, pero los costos continúan acumulándose mientras él permanece en cuidados críticos.

Esta emergencia inesperada ha sido abrumadora y estamos haciendo todo lo posible para garantizar que mi abuelo reciba la atención que necesita en Ecuador para que pueda recuperarse y regresar a su hogar en los EE.
